At Big Hands Helping Little Hearts Foundation, we are dedicated to providing hope and support to children in need across Jackson, Tennessee . Our main focus is on troubled and at-risk teenage boys in urban communities throughout Jackson, Tennessee.
We give them the hope that they need to help them succeed and never give up. We Mentor, Educate and Teach the teens about Crime, Black
History, Culture, Health and Well-being. We also have a natural herbalist that comes in once a week to educate and teach the teens and parents about Eating To Live. We take troubled at risk teens and push them down a different path. We also reach out to the parents in the Jackson communities and sit down one on one with the teen and he/she tells us what they would like to accomplish in life and we help them work towards it. We teach the teens how to fill out applications and how to build resumes. We help them with employment, home work, etc. We also teach them how to become positive helpers with the elderly in their community. Big Hands Helping Little Hearts are there for the teens whenever they call. We’re the teens Big Brothers that some of them never had. Big Hands Helping Little Hearts donate Clothing, Book Bags, Toys, Food and more to families throughout the city. We also teach the teens about Gangs, Dangers of Drugs and the possibility of jail time when crimes are committed. We have ex felons that comes in to talk to the teens about jail and prison once a week. We give each teen a simple quiz to make sure everything that they have been taught here at Big Hands Helping Little Hearts sticks in their brain. This organization is fighting to stop “The School To Prison Pipeline”. We want all teens to take what they have learned and apply it to everyday life.
